10:00 am - 12:30 pm
In 2011, The Walk to Remember was started when Cindy and Alan Woods, Mary Beth and Alan's parents and members of the support group, suggested that Chapel Hill Mortuary sponsor a remembrance walk for our community. Over 200 people participated that first year and has continued to grow each year. The walk begins at Northwest High school parking lot, continues on Highway 30 and concludes with a time of reflection and a balloon release at the Tim Jones Shelter in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens (6300 Hwy 30, Cedar Hill, MO 63016). To learn more about the support group or walk; please contact Cindy Woods at (636) 677-3060 or email her at dakodasgrandma@aol.com or contact Lesley at Chapel Hill Mortuary at (636) 274-4100.

06:45 pm - 08:30 pm
The Worldwide Candle Lighting is held every year on the second Sunday in December, at 7:00 p.m. in every time zone. As candles burn down in one time zone, they are lighted in the next, creating a 24-hour wave of light that encircles the globe. All parents, family and friends are welcome to attend. Please bring a picture and/or mementos of your child to display during the program. Families attending may have the names of children to be remembered read aloud, and a photo presented during the Memorial Slideshow Presentation. Photo entries are due the Friday before the event, e-mailed to lesley@stlchapelhill.com (include the child’s name, as you would like it read, and your name and phone number) or dropped off at our Cedar Hill location.
