Willard "Bill" A. Miller Sr.

Miller, Sr., Willard “Bill” A., of Saint Louis, Missouri, was born March 24, 1923 in Dickson City, Pennsylvania, to Austin A. and Bertha (nee Stanton) Miller, and entered into rest, Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at Bethesda Dilworth, in St. Louis, Missouri, at the age of 93 years, 10 months and 7 days. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 49 years, Ruth M. (nee Mueller) Miller and five siblings, Roger F. Miller, Leon E. Miller, Albert J. Miller, Wayne S. Miller and Ann L. Miller. He is survived by, his loving wife of 12 years, Patsy J. (nee Eaker) Kaup, three (3) children, Ruth A. McCraken of Saint Louis, Missouri, Willard A. (Vesilla) Miller, Jr. of Overland, Missouri and James S. (Kathy) Miller of Wildwood, Missouri, two (2) step-children, Trina (Gary) Hollingsworth of Saint Louis County and Amy Byrd of Valley Park, Missouri, five (5) grandchildren, Christopher (Brooke) Miller, Rebecca (Daniel) Rodriguez, Nicholas (Mandy) Miller, Kevin McCracken and Kathryn Miller, three (3) step-grandchildren, Heather (Ron) Nason, Jennifer Byrd and Michael Byrd, seven (7) great grandchildren, Zivah, Tracey, Mayah, Howard, Caroline, Judah and Silas, two (2) step-great grandchildren, Haley and Orion, one (1) sister, Janet E. Smith, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Bill served his country in the Army. He is a World War II veteran. More than anything he was a family man. In his last days his great grandchildren were a great joy to him. Bill was known for his honesty, generosity, kindness, a peace maker and he saw the good in everyone. He was a wonderful mechanic that people trusted. When the economy was struggling he was gracious and generous to his clients. His co-workers remember him making peace and being protective of them. He is fondly remembered, and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorial Visitation will be Sunday, February 12, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. until Service at 4:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 10301 Big Bend Road, Kirkwood, 63122.
