Warren F. Abell

Abell, Warren F., Sr., of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, formerly of Festus, Missouri, was born December 31, 1925, in Kaskaskia, Illinois, to William Floyd and Pearl (nee Cassoutt) Abell, and entered into rest, Saturday, August 15, 2015, at Missouri Veteran's Home in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 89 years, 7 months and 15 days. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, William Floyd Abell, Jr. and Alma Ilene Blandford, one son in law, Tom Dohogne. He is survived by, his spouse, Genevieve (nee Williams) Abell, of Festus, Missouri, (married January 1, 1949), five (5) children, Brenda Dohogne, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Dianna (John) Lechner, of Larkspur, Colorado, Dr. Warren (Karlene) Abell, Jr., of Osceola, Wisconsin, Cathy (Larry) Redmond, of Arnold, Missouri, and Charles (Mary) Abell, of St. Louis, Missouri, twelve (12) grandchildren, nine (9) great grandchildren, three (3) siblings, Leoza Crow, of Jefferson City, Missouri, Zelda Boland, of Gainesville, Missouri and James Harold (Karen) Abell, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and many relatives and friends. Warren was the owner of Abell Tax Service. Upon retiring he worked at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri. He proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Army Air Corp. He was a member of Canaan Baptist Church and graduated High School in Ste. Genevieve, MO in 1943. Warren enjoyed gardening, fishing, and camping. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation Tuesday, August 18, 2015, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, Mehlville, Missouri. Service Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at 10 a.m. at Canaan Baptist Church, 5409 Baumgartner Rd, St. Louis, MO. Interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Cedar Hill MO. Services handled by Chapel Hill Mortuary.
