Mary Roberts

Mary P. Roberts Roberts, Mary P. of St. Charles, Missouri, was born September 14, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri to Lawrence and Ethel (nee Hanger) Proctor and entered into rest Sunday, August 25, 2024 in St. Charles, Missouri at the age of 92 years. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Eugene Roberts; two children, Linda Derque and Thomas Roberts; parents, Lawrence and Ethel (nee Hanger) Proctor; as well as her siblings, John Proctor, Melba Mills, Anna Lee Long, and Janna Buffington. She is survived by her daughter, Genine (Doug) Taylor; grandchildren, Jason Ragadio, Brandon Ragadio, Cassie Lucas, Logan Derque, and Joel Taylor; great-grandchildren, Colton Taylor, Grace Ragadio, Addyson Taylor, Dominic Lucas, and Viviana Lucas; along with numerous other extended family and friends. Mary P. Roberts was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, cherished for her gentle and loving soul. She was the heart of her family, always putting others before herself and offering kindness to everyone she met. In March of 1955, she married the love of her life, Eugene Roberts, with whom she shared nearly six decades of marriage. Their love story was one of deep commitment and enduring partnership until Eugene's passing in July of 2013. Mary dedicated her professional life to education, where she found her true calling as a teacher in the Northwest School District. She spent many years shaping young minds, instilling in her students a love for learning that lasted long after they left her classroom. Retiring in 1986, she left behind a legacy of inspiration and impact that her students and colleagues remember fondly. Beyond her career, Mary had a zest for life that was evident in her many passions. She loved to read, travel, and embark on new adventures, always eager to explore the world around her. She was a woman of great faith, who approached life with an optimism that colored everything she did. Mary never met a stranger and had a unique gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued. Her ability to see the good in every situation and every person was one of her most endearing qualities, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, MO 63016. Funeral Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill, MO. Interment will immediately follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill, MO.
