Louise Cecelia Sanders

Louise C. Sanders (nee Kelso), 1937-2024. A devoted and beloved wife to the late Gilbert Sanders, Louise's life was a testament to love, family, and friendship. Married in 1964, they built a beautiful life together, full of joy and shared memories. She was the cherished mother of William (Maureen) Elliott, Linda (Steven) Kelso-Epstein, Tammara (Edmund) Harrison and the late Donna Elliott. As a mother, she was steadfast, loving, and fiercely proud of her children's accomplishments. Her heart overflowed with pride for her grandchildren—Lysandra Robnett, Scott Robnett, Jr., Samantha Hall, Brody Epstein, Amanda Elliott, Michael Elliott, Christopher Elliott, and the late Zachary Hall—and her great-grandchildren, eight in total. Each one brought her immense joy, and she never missed a chance to celebrate their milestones, offering advice, laughter, and boundless love. Preceded in death by her parents, William Luther and Esther Mae Kelso, and her brother, William Luther Kelso, II, Louise was reunited with her loved ones in heaven, where her gentle spirit now rests. Louise's presence was a gift to everyone who knew her. She was not only a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, but also a devoted aunt, cousin, and dear friend to many. Her home was always filled with warmth and laughter. Louise had an eye for beauty, which she expressed through her passion for gardening. Her yard was a stunning and whimsical botanical garden, filled with roses and lilies, where each flower found its own special place, just as Louise had a unique way of nurturing everyone around her. Louise also had a passion for handmade arts and crafts, especially crocheting. In her 70s, she started Charlielous Boutique, a small woman owned business with her daughter. Unique handmade treasures were made in limited editions and could only be found at craft fairs and craft shows, as well as through individual customized orders. Her entrepreneurial spirit and zest for life were a true inspiration. For 20 years, Louise drove a school bus for the Special School District, where she was admired for her care and dedication. Her entrepreneurial spirit, eye for beauty, and zest for life were an inspiration to all who knew her. Louise leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. She will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched. Visitation will take place on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy 30, Cedar Hill, MO. A graveside service will follow, with interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, where Louise will rest beside her beloved husband, Gilbert. An evening Celebration of Her Life Open House from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at the Tuxedo Park St. Louis Bed & Breakfast, 700 Tuxedo Blvd., Webster Groves, MO 63119. Please join us for light refreshments and memories. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Louise's honor to the American Heart Association, reflecting her generous and caring nature.
