Lawrence "Larry" Allen Murray

Lawrence “Larry” Allen Murray of Fenton, Missouri, was born August 14, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri to George and Anna (Greenlee) Murray and entered into rest Monday, May 20, 2024 in Fenton, Missouri at the age of 68 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Anna (Greenlee) Murray and his siblings, Louis Murray and Les Murray. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol Murray; his children, Lauren (Kyle) Murphy and Larry Murray; his grandchildren, Jack Murphy, Tripp Murphy, and Lukas Murray; his caring sister Georgia (Jim) Weggemann, two close nieces; Heather Siebers and Ursula Viner, along with his uncle, who was like a father figure to Larry, Eddie Murray; and many other family and friends. Larry was a loving husband, devoted father, doting grandfather, known as “Paw Paw”, and beloved brother. He cherished every moment spent with his family, especially his grandchildren, never missing a chance to attend their sporting events and celebrate their achievements. His love for his family was matched only by his passion for his loyal German Shepherds, who were always by his side. A successful entrepreneur, Larry owned and operated his own trucking business, and enjoyed spending time with his friends in the industry. His mechanical skills were unmatched, and he took great pride in being a master at fixing trucks. Larry had a deep love for the outdoors. He found joy in boating, fishing, and working in his yard. Ever the handyman, he was always busy with various projects, never one to sit still for long. Larry will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, dedication, and hard work will live on through his family and the many lives he touched. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri 63016. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill, Missouri. Dress attire for the memorial is “Casual” as Larry would want you all to come as you are.
