Kimberly A. George

Kimberly A. George, 62, of St. Louis, MO, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love on June 26, 2025. She was born to Judith T. Foster and the late Norman D. Foster on September 8, 1962 in Pasadena, California. In the early 80s, she moved to St. Louis where fate introduced her to her husband of almost 40 years, Norman J. George, II. Together, they shared two children and three grandchildren. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her eyes would light up in their presence, and her love for them was the center from which everything else revolved. Kim was a true California girl who brought sunshine with her wherever she went. She had a lifelong passion for horses and cherished every moment spent in the saddle. She also had a deep curiosity for the past, dedicating many hours to researching genealogy and uncovering the stories of those who came before her. She dedicated over 35 years of her career to Maritz Travel, where her reliability and strong spirit left a lasting mark. Her time there wasn’t just about work—it was also about friendship. She formed many lifelong bonds that she truly cherished, and her colleagues became like family. Her tenacity, boundless generosity, and fierce love will be forever remembered by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of strength and family—one that will live on in the hearts of those she knew and loved. She is survived by her loving husband, Norman J. George, II; her children, Ashley Pfannebecker (John) and Norman J. George, III (Mary); her grandchildren, Margaret, Mila, and Josephine; her mother, Judith T. Foster; her siblings, Norman Foster (Sini) and Gabrielle Millenbruck (Brian), and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father and many cherished extended family members. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until Noon at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Kirkwood. Inurnment will follow on site at Oak Hill Cemetery. Kim was never one for dressing up, please come dressed comfortably and bright, or however you’d like. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Compassus Living Foundation. This is the organization that granted Kim’s final wish to pass peacefully at home. The Compassus Living Foundation is a nonprofit organization enabling loved ones, friends, and advocates to honor patients who have received hospice care.
