Chas Major-Harris

Chas was born on August 6, 1990 to the union of Charles E. Harris and Cherita L. Major. He was always such a happy and energetic baby right from the beginning. Chas stole the hearts of everyone with his infectious smile and his charming personality. His personality made everyone want to be in his presence. He was such an advanced baby. He learned to speak and spell small words before he was a year old. Chas advanced in anything he set out to do and he was eager to learn any and everything. Chas was raised to believe in the lord and he wholeheartedly did just that. He eased his mind by listening to gospel music. He praised God for everything in his life. He was so grateful for everything. Chas is preceded in death by his bonus dad, Ricardo (whom he looked up to as his mentor), both his maternal and paternal grandmothers, his maternal grandfather, and his younger brother JaQues (whom he missed so much). We pray that Chas and JaQues are united again in heavenly paradise. Chas was educated in the public school system. He excelled effortlessly in academics and was very popular in school. Chas absolutely loved playing basketball. He started his basketball career at De LaSalle Catholic School and ended it at Beaumont High School. He was a star basketball player under the tutelage of Coach Byrd Hamilton. Chas was an eager player who always strived to be the best in the game. He would not play basketball if he couldn't wear his #3 on his jersey. Chas just knew he was the best shooting guard ever! LOL! He would often wear a sweatband around his head. No one could not tell this dude he was not Allen Iverson. LOL! i guarantee Chas is gathering his team of players in heaven and planning a basketball tournament in paradise. Chas worked several jobs, but he found his niche as a service installer. He worked at direct TV for several years before he transferred to ADT LLC. He loved communicating with his customers and learning every aspect of the trade. He formed friendships with his coworkers and loved going to work each day. Chas had many friends but his best friend in the world was, Corrion. Those two together were like the dynamic duo. They love going out club hopping and joking around at family gatherings. Corrion, Chas will always be your brother and you will always be our family. Ms. Lily Mack entered the world on January 20, 2019 to Lisa and Chas. Lily is Chas only child and was his princess. There was nothing Lily wanted that Chas wouldn't get for her. Chas looked forward to spending time with Lily, taking her on their Saturday outings and making TikTok videos with her. He was so protective over his angel and looked forward to watching her grow into a beautiful young lady. Lily, just know your daddy will always watch over you and will always love you. Whenever you need him, just look to the sky because he’s there in heaven. Chas met the love of his life on a winery trip in March of 2024. It was a surprise meeting that blossomed into a beautiful romance. Chas loved Jasmine Lytle so much. He would always say that she would be his wife someday. This beautiful union was cut short but the memories still last forever. Jasmine hold tight to those memories. Chas would want you to continue to be happy and enjoy life. Continue to smile because he loved your beautiful smile. We will always be here for you. Chas leaves to mourn his memory to his parents Cherita LaNelle Major and Charles Edward Harris, his beautiful daughter Lily Mack, his beautiful girlfriend Jasmine, his grandfather, Charles Edward Drew, his sisters, Briah, Briahna, Jasmine, Zenova, Asia, Faith, Treasure, and Olivia. His Brothers: Ricardo, Rodney, LaVell, LaCharles, Jaylen, Jordan, and Jermaine, James, and NasZir, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.
