William R. Brommer

December 18, 1924 - April 23, 2022

William Richard Brommer is resting peacefully in the arms of his Savior on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at the age of 97 years, 4 months and 5 days. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen (nee; Bohrer) Brommer; his loving parents, Pauline (nee; Eichhorst) and William Brommer; He is survived by his children, Rebecca (the late Tom) Hood, Carol (Mike) Brown, John (Helen) Brommer and Barb (Larry) Buscher; grandchildren, Stacy (Karl) Kruse, Scott (Amanda) Hood, Stephanie (Bryan) Benware, Jason Brown, Tyler Brown, Josh Brommer, Savannah Brommer, Mackenzey Brommer, Nicholas (Abby) Eastwood and Samantha (Adam) Ball; great-grandchildren, Henry Hood, Finn Hood, Oliver Hood, Kameron Kruse, Amelia Benware, Brewer Benware, David Ball, Everleigh Ball and bonus great-grandchild, Aubrey Sayles. Along with many other extended family members and friends. William was a WWII veteran, a charter member at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, an avid Cardinals fan and a proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is reunited with his loving wife, Helen Brommer after almost 20 years. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A Funeral Service will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 9907 Sappington Road St. Louis, MO 63128 on Monday, May 2nd at 10:00am. Visitation at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 10301 Big Bend Road on Sunday, May 1st from 4-8 PM. Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
