Walter Quinn Huskey

HUSKEY, Walter Quinn, of Bonne Terre, Missouri, was born December 31, 1955 in St. Louis, MO to Walter Gibson and Inys Christine (nee; Williams) Huskey and entered into rest on Friday, April 15, 2022 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 66 years, 3 months and 15 days. He is preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Margaret (nee; Meatte) Huskey, by his parents, Walter and Christine Huskey and his brother Terry Lynn Huskey. He is survived by his two (2) daughters, Lauri (Vance) Thienes, of St. Louis, Missouri, Kim (Mike Kinkade) Huskey, of St. Louis, Missouri, five (5) grandchildren, Tyler Thienes, Devin Doolittle, Samantha Thienes, Ava Thienes, Victoria Huskey, one (1) great-grandchild, Alex, one (1) sister, Anna (nee; Huskey) (Wayne) Steinman along with numerous extended family and friends. Walt was a hard working mechanic who devoted 29 years of his career at Hogan Transportation before he retired. He loved his family. He had a witty sense of humor and enjoyed spending his free time beating his family and friends at horseshoes and darts. You could frequently find him enjoying a couple beers while he barbequed ribs, burgers or making his famous catfish nuggets. He loved to dance with his late wife, Margaret or relax and watch westerns. He spent countless hours with his cherished grandchildren, who he doted on. He was a devoted husband, wonderful father, dedicated grandfather and great-grandfather and a trusted friend to many. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in Walter's honor to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Visitation Monday, April 18, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at 12:00 PM at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 10301 Big Bend Rd. Kirkwood, Missouri, followed by interment at St. Francois Memorial Park, at 2:15 PM.
