Roy Coats Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Coats, Roy Wayne, of House Springs, Missouri, was born June 28, 1946 in Thayer, Missouri to Thurman and Lela (nee Grooms) Coats and entered into rest Sunday, February 27, 2022 in House Springs, Missouri at the age of 75 years, 7 months, and 30 days. He is preceded in death by his parents two (2) siblings, Sue (Jim) Grooms & Lois Ann Huddleston He is survived by, his loving wife Roberta (nee Barnett) Coats two (2) children, Rodney (Chelle) Coats & Ryan (Jes) Coats eleven (11) grandchildren, Ayden, Donoven, Garrett, Miguel, Jade, Rileigh, Trenton, Kailey, Owen, Gabe, & Paxton three (3) siblings, Warren (Hasseltine) Coats, Janie (The Late Jack) Flynn, & Nora Coats-Smith many nieces and nephews along with numerous extended family and friends. Roy was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. As a Christian his faith showed through not only his words but his actions. As a member of the Central Baptist Church in Eureka he found more friends and family through Christ. His love for his country was never questioned. He served in Vietnam for over a year and was proud to be a Veteran. For 30+ years he worked as a Mechanic for Cummins. He was an outdoorsman and could never say no to hunting or fishing, especially if grandkids were involved! His family meant the world to him. Roy will be watching over his friends and family from above. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation Tuesday, March 8, 2022 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary and Wednesday, March 9, 2022 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Central Baptist Church in Eureka, Missouri followed by the Service.
