Robert Christopher Taff

February 20, 1965 - March 4, 2022

ROBERT CHRISTOPHER TAFF was born February 20, 1965 in St. Louis, Missouri to Thomas Dennis and Kathleen (nee Graham) Taff and grew-up in Eureka, Missouri. Robert met William May, II at Union Station in St. Louis, Missouri in 1990 and the two (2) of them headed to Southern California where they built a life together and were married on July 4, 2016 in West Hollywood, California. On Thursday morning, March 4, 2022 at City of Hope Hospital in Duarte, California, Robert died at the age of 57 years and 12 days. Robert is survived by his husband and companion of more than 30 years, William G. May, II, a longtime resident of Southern California and originally of Cedar Hill, Missouri, his parents, Thomas Dennis and Kathleen (nee Graham) Taff of Eureka, Missouri, four (4) siblings, John (Deborah) Taff of Carbondale, Illinois, Kimberly (Mark) Oakeley of Wildwood, Missouri, Heather (Jon) Friganza of Affton, Missouri and Brianna (Cameron Medgaus) Taff of Eureka, Missouri, William’s parents, Bill and Sandy (nee Mueller) May of Cedar Hill, Missouri, William’s siblings, Brian (Amy) May of Eureka, Missouri and Susan VonderHaar of House Springs, Missouri, Robert’s nieces and nephews, Harry, Sam, Molly, Jack, Annie, Nick, Brenden, Liam, Max, Gus, Tommie, Audrey, Will, Wolfgang and Stella, Robert’s aunts and uncle, Susan Pardo of Punta Gorda, Florida, Michael (Sandy) Graham of Washington, Missouri and Donna Taff of Valley Park, Missouri, along with lots of other family and friends. Robert was loving, thoughtful and kind with a magnetic personality. He was a talented cook and homemaker and a doting parent to three (3) Jack Russell Terriers - Lucky, Lucy and Bernie. Robert will be dearly missed. Please gather and connect with Robert’s family during Visitation on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, MO 63016. Visitation resumes Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until time of reflection and celebration during a Service at 12:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary. Interment will follow immediately at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to Jack Russell Rescue at www.russellrescue.com.
