STUMP, Richard L., born November 22, 1941 to Vallie Stump and Fern (nee Brigance) Stump and entered into rest January 16, 2021 at his home surrounded by friends and family at the age of 79 years. He is preceded in death by, his parents, his step-mother, Bernice Stump, wife, Sharon Stump and one (1) daughter, Stacy Dulle. He is survived by his devoted wife, Cheryl Stump, of Fairview Heights, Illinois, four (4) children, Christopher (Tanya) Stump, of Fairview Heights, Illinois, Matthew Stump, of Fairview Heights, Illinois, Dana (Kip Campbell) Watkins, of Granite City, Illinois, Joe (Andrea) Watkins, of Granite City, Illinois, ten (10) grandchildren, Christopher, Kaden, Matthew, Kara, Max, Tina, Becky, Dana, Denny, Harrison, great-grandchildren, one (1) brother, John Thomas (Kay) Lybarger, II along with numerous extended family and friends. A proud loving husband, father and grandfather. Known simply as Stump. He was a great man of many talents and accomplishments. From winning bass tournaments and drag races, bowling 300 games, to setting records with his pistol shooting in the Army and as a civilian. Above all, he said his greatest accomplishment were his two sons, Chris and Matt. Later in life he found a new passion with motorcycles. He became a proud member and 17 year veteran with the Hells Angels MC. He and his loving wife Cheryl, made countless friends and memories traveling the country with the club. Everything he did, he did with excellence. He was a champion at life. Stump will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.
