Lewis, Laura B. of House Springs, Missouri, was born March 1, 1927 in Belleview, Missouri to Jacob Jaycox and Blanche (nee Francis) Waldram and entered into rest Thursday, April 28, 2022 in Des Peres, Missouri at the age of 95 years, 1 month and 28 days. She is preceded in death by, her parents, stepfather, Issac Waldram, spouse, James W. Lewis, two (2) children, Kenneth Lewis and Neil (Jane) Lewis, and seven (7) siblings, Paul Jaycox, Beulah Null, Avis Campbell, Ray Jaycox, Wilma Johnson, Geneva Miller, Francis Smythe She is survived by, two (2) half brothers, Robert Waldram and James Waldram, daughter-in-law, Doris Jean Lewis, five (5) grandchildren, Jerrod K. (Beth) Lewis, Rebekah E. Wright, Heather J. (Tara) Reynolds, Matthew J. (Megan) Lewis and James P. Lewis, and six (6) great-grandchildren, Madilyn H. (Cameron) Pennington, Isaac Lewis, Levi Lewis, Eden Lewis, Cade Lewis and Arabelle Lewis, and many other family and friends. Laura was an avid gardener who enjoyed planting and growing lots of flowers. During the holidays, you could always find Grandma baking in the kitchen with her gourmet dishes for the family to share and during the winter months, her favorite activity was quilting. She was well known to most by her fashion. Never a stranger and always proud to talk about her relationship with God. Finally, the long road, she rests home with her husband and boys. Laura was very devoted to her family. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew her and loved her. Visitation to be held Saturday, May 7th, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until service at 12:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary 6300 Hwy 30 Cedar Hill, Missouri 63016. Interment at Cross Roads Cemetery in Leasburg, Missouri. Memorial donations to Alzheimer’s Association at 9370 Olive Boulevard, St. Louis, Missouri 63132-3253.
