McCarthy, John Joseph (Mac), of High Ridge, Missouri, was born February 8, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri to Gerard Richard and Augusta Rose (nee Orris) McCarthy and entered into rest Wednesday, July 29, 2020 in Valley Park, Missouri at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 21 days. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Hazel L. (nee Keefer) McCarthy, married in 1957, four (4) children, Michael A. McCarthy, Patricia A. (Ron) Norris, Robert A. (Jean) McCarthy, Mary Anne (Jeff) Lambert, nine (9) grandchildren, Melissa, Kimberly, Rebeccah, Meghan, Thomas Joseph (T.J.), ElMarie, Loren, Benjamin, Jessica, three (3) great grandchildren, Gavin, Kayla, Daniel, two (2) brothers, Gerard R. (Rosemary) McCarthy, David F. (Barbara) McCarthy, a special friend, Bobby, along with numerous extended family and friends. John was a devoted husband to his wife Hazel and loved his family and his catholic faith immensely. He enjoyed electronics, carpentry and camping in his free time. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Private services held through CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery.
