Gilbert M. Adams Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Adams, Gilbert M., is resting peacefully in the arms of his Savior on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Lynn (nee; Cox) Adams; loving father of Shaun (Russell) Knapp and Danny Adams; cherished grandfather of Megan (Erik) Pepa, Andrew, Kara and Madeline Knapp and great-grandfather of Declan Pepa. Gil was a dedicated employee who “kept the lights on” for the city of Kirkwood for 38 years. He was an avid golfer that always left the course with more golf balls than what he started with. Over the years, he made a positive impact on many while coaching softball and soccer. He taught many life lessons such as changing a tire, checking oil and even the right way to wash a car. He believed in working hard for something you want, to keep trying, how to win with humility and how to lose with grace, how to laugh and how to love. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A funeral service will be held at Chapel Hill Mortuary- 10301 Big Bend Rd. on Tuesday, May 24th at 6 P.M. Visitation from 2 until the time of service. An inurnment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full Military Honors will be scheduled at a later date.
