Schmaeng, George M. Jr., of High Ridge, Missouri, was born August 29, 1946 in Cairo, Illinois to George Sr., and Margaret (nee Webb) Schmaeng and entered into rest Monday, May 9, 2022 in High Ridge, Missouri at the age of 75 years, 8 months, and 12 days. He is preceded in death by his parents and spouse, Linda Schmaeng. He is survived by, his loving significant other, Patricia Rutledge of High Ridge, Missouri, (2) two children, Michael (wife, Angela) Schmaeng of Richmond, Indiana, and Michelle (husband, Ben) Erdman of High Ridge, Missouri, (4) four grandchildren, Darian Schmaeng, Zachary Young, Kevin Young and Danielle Young, (1) one great grandchild, Kain Young, (2) two siblings, Theresa Schmaeng and Richard (wife, Debbie) Schmaeng of St. Louis, Missouri, along with his extended family, with his significant other, of (2) two children, Cindy (husband, Roger) Bowen, and Jerry Rutledge, (5) five grandchildren, Abby, James, Kole, Kennedy and Kinlee, (1) one baby dog, Penny, along with numerous extended family and friends. George M. Schmaeng, Jr., known as “Mike”, was a man that enjoyed the simpler things in life. He enjoyed working with his hands. As a skilled Mechanic, Mike worked at TRW Trucking and Greyhound Bus. Mike was an avid gun collector. Mike will be dearly missed by those who loved him and were able to know him.
