Koebel, Frank William Jr. “Butch”, of Fenton, Missouri, was born March 14, 1944 in Fenton, Missouri to Frank M. and Irene R. (nee Conrad) Koebel and entered into eternal rest Wednesday, March 9, 2022 in Sullivan, Missouri at the age of 77 years, 11 months, and 23 days. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Irene, his sister, Joyce (Robert) Casteel and one stepson Larry Allen Pruiett Frank is survived by two sons, Frank William Koebel III & Mathew Richard Koebel, one stepson Eric A Pruiett, his three granddaughters, EllieMae Jolene, Alexandria Rose, & Sophia Helen Koebel, his two sisters, Betty Flanigan and Mary (Richard) Wynn and one brother, William (Kathy) Koebel. Many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Frank was a loving son, brother, uncle, father, grandfather, & friend. His sons were his pride and joy, but his granddaughters were the apple of his eye. He was always willing to help when someone was in need. If there was a problem, he had a solution. Frank was a proud member of our ��United States Air Force��. He served 4 years in the USAF including time in Vietnam. After his honorable discharge from the USAF, Frank was hired by IBM. As a field engineer Frank repaired IBM computers and received many awards for his exemplary service till retirement. While working at IBM he met and later married Debbie (Silverberg). Butch and Debbie Koebel enjoyed the birth of their sons and 20 years of marriage. Though divorced they remained close friends often attending family gatherings together. Frank loved the outdoors and never passed up a good fishing or hunting trip. He loved fixing classic cars and building his pull trucks. In the 1970’s he worked on the original BigFoot monster truck. He traveled the USA driving & re-engineering monster trucks with family including his sister Mary and brother-in-law Richard Wynn who also kept the race vehicles ready for the next race. He often spoke of his pull trucks, truck pull venue and many road trips! He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. His family ask in lieu of flowers, please make donations in his memory to either: The Dementia Society of America or to your local VFW Hall. �� Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, MO, 63016. Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Frank will make his final road trip to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery where he will join in rest the men and women who have served to keep us free.
