Florine Ida Bohle

March 30, 1924 - September 5, 2021

Florine Ida (nee Eggers) Bohle, 97, of Cedar Hill, died September 5, 2021 in St. Louis, Mo. Florine was a homemaker, later working at Meramec Valley Insurance Company. She was a member of St. Martin’s United Church of Christ in Dittmer and was a past president of the Women’s Fellowship. She loved to cook and clean and provide for her family whether working hard outside in the huge garden or cutting grass, or baking pies and ironing in her kitchen. She loved to add her beautiful embroidery skills to quilts and pillowcases. Each stitch had to be perfect! Born March 30, 1924, in St. Louis, Florine was the daughter of the late Walter and Alma (Schmidt) Eggers. She is preceded in death by her husband of 77 years, Roy R. Bohle, a sister: Marie Eggers Mathis, and a brother: Walter (Buddy) Eggers. Florine is survived by two children: Rob (Nancy) Bohle of Cedar Hill and Elaine Brooks of Cedar Hill; five grandchildren: Bryan (Evelyn) Brooks, Matthew (Krista) Brooks, Rebecca (Samuel) Maindonald, Susan Bohle and Ryan Bohle; six great-grandchildren, Henry, Walter, Tyler, Stella, George and Woodrow, and number seven on the way; her sister-in-law, Venita Bohle, and many other family members and friends. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral services at 1 p.m. Friday (Sept. 10) at St. Martin’s United Church of Christ in Dittmer followed by burial in St. Martin’s United Church of Christ cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Martin’s United Church of Christ, 7890 Dittmer Ridge Road, Dittmer, MO 63023. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary.
