Charles (Charlie) Fazio Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Charles (Charlie) Fazio, of Chesterfield, Missouri, was born March 11, 1936 in St Louis, Missouri on “The Hill”. to the late Joseph and Concetta (nee DiMare) Fazio and went home to be with the Lord on Sunday July 17, 2022, in Saint Louis, Missouri at the age of 86 years. Charlie proudly served as a U.S. Marine and upon coming home married his long-time sweetheart; Glennis (Dilthey). He accepted the great challenge of taking over his family business “Joe Fazio Bakery” in the early 1960’s. Charlie, with the help of his nephew’s, children and grandchildren grew the family business to become the largest private bakery in the St. Louis area. As a part of the growth, they expanded the brand to include: “Fazio’s Specialty Foods” which are available in both retail and wholesale products. Loving husband to Glennis, devoted father to Charles (Chuck) Fazio Jr. (Cynthia), Joseph (Joe) Fazio (Rose), and Suzanne (Tutu) Fazio. Grandfather to Charles Fazio III(Jamie), Jessica Fazio-Buddemeyer(Matt), precious “Nonu” to Jemma, Charlie IV, Olivia, Evelyn, Brantley and Gavin. Loving brother to the late Mae Mott. Uncle and friend to many. Services will be private and the family deeply appreciates any donations to be made in Charlie’s memory to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or the Make A Wish Foundation. Services were handled by Chapel Hill Mortuary in Kirkwood, Missouri.
