Carl Garofaro Sr.

July 5, 1948 - June 5, 2021

Garofaro, Carl Sr., of Dittmer, Missouri, was born July 5, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri to Joseph and Norma (nee Farace) Garofaro and entered into rest, Saturday, June 5, 2021 at his home in Dittmer at the age of 72 years and 11 months. He is preceded in death by his parents, his one son, Carl Garofaro Jr. and one son-in-law, Larry Talbert. He is survived by his loving wife, Charlotte Garofaro (nee Gorsuch), three (3) children, Dawn Talbert of Dittmer, Missouri, Nicholas Garofaro of Dittmer, Missouri, and Jennifer (Steven) Porter of High Ridge, Missouri, nine (9) grandchildren, Kyle, Kurstin, Logan Thomas, Abbigayle, Dominic, Evan, Eli, Ethan and Jacob, two (2) great grandchildren, Kenzie, Kyndal and one on the way, Kamden, along with numerous extended family and friends. Carl proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army and received two purple hearts during his time. He worked at Ford Motor Co. for thirty-seven and a half years. Carl was a lifetime member of the VFW, Veterans of Foreign Wars. He loved to go fishing and piddling in his barn. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill. Funeral Service Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Chapel Hill Mortuary at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
