GRAY, Willie E., of Festus, Missouri, formerly of Imperial, Missouri, was born May 5, 1920, in Marshall, Arkansas, to John Matthew and Jane (nee Griffin) Gray, and entered into rest, Thursday, July 16, 2009, at his residence, in Festus, Missouri, at the age of 89 years, 2 months and 11 days. He is preceded in death by his parents, two (2) children, Billy Wayne Gray and Steven Eric Gray, and four (4) siblings, Leda Treat, Argie Treat, Al S. Gray and Jewel W. Gray. He is survived by his wife, Virginia M. (nee Shaw) Gray, of Festus, Missouri, nine (9) children, Carol Sue (Howard) Bell, of St. Clair, Missouri, Donna Jean Clay, of Festus, Missouri, Bob Joe (Terry) Gray, of High Ridge, Missouri, Michael Lee (Candy) Gray, of Fenton, Missouri, Marsha Louise (Rick) Politte, of Imperial, Missouri, Mark Kevin (Laura) Gray, of Dittmer, Missouri, Phyllis Elaine (Brad) Delaney, of Festus, Missouri, Donald Elvin Gray, of Imperial, Missouri, and Lisa Dawn (Greg) Benn, of Imperial, Missouri, twenty-six (26) grandchildren, Kimberly Blanton, Howard Bell, III, Anthony Bell, Shelly McNeeley, Tammy Robertson, Billy Gray, Jr., Renee Weisler, Chad Clay, Regina Schmidt, Michelle Williams, Bobby Gray, Jr., Dawn Soltis, Debbie Gray, Justin Politte, Jennifer Gray, Pamala Gray, Angelia Gray, Heather Chapman, Danielle Mead, Justin Delaney, Taylor Gray, Lauren Gray, Brittney Gray, Brad Becker, Nick Benn, and Steve Benn, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, one (1) great, great-grandchild, three (3) siblings, Rufus (Bernice) Gray, of Marshall, Arkansas, Bobbie Lee (Lawrence) Shaw, of Fenton, Missouri, and Bruce (Mardell) Gray, of Marshall, Arkansas, two (2) daughters-in-law, Sandra Gray, of High Ridge, Missouri and Shari Gray of Cedar Hill, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Willie was a member of the United States Army and Arnold V.F.W. Post 2593. He enjoyed singing, farming and baseball. He is fondly remembered and will be dearly missed by all who knew and love him.
