Wayne Warren Petry

Wayne Warren Petry, 60, of Cedar Hill, MO went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 22, 2026. He was born August 28, 1965, in St. Louis, MO, the son of Julius and Elaine (O’Cheskey) Petry. Wayne grew up as the youngest of four siblings and loved hunting and the outdoors. In high school he served as a volunteer firefighter with High Ridge Fire Department, and after high school he graduated from Bailey Technical School. He worked a career as a machinist and engineer and retired from Custom Machine Works in 2023. However, what really defined Wayne’s life was his family. He loved his wife and sons dearly. He was an incredible supportive father as he coached baseball and basketball games, taught them how to hunt and fish, and did everything he could to provide and care for them. Mindy was the love of his life and he loved spending time with her and making her laugh. He also adored his three grandchildren and cherished being able to be their “Pawpaw”. Most importantly, he loved Jesus deeply and was passionate about letting others know about the hope and grace found surrendering their lives to Him. He is survived by his wife Mindy (Hudson) Petry; his sons, Adam Petry & his wife Stephanie; Andy Petry & his wife Julia; and Alexander Petry; his grandchildren, Travis Petry; Harper Petry; and Hudson Petry; his mother, Elaine Petry of High Ridge, MO, his siblings Ron Petry of Cedar Hill, MO; Joe Petry & his wife Beth of Hillsboro, MO; and Barb Petry of St. James, MO; sister-in-law Chris Evans & her husband Tim; nieces Jessica Zimmerman & her husband Keith; Stephanie Lehman & her husband Garrett; and nephews Jeff Petry & his wife Alysha, K.J. Petry & his wife Brittanie; and Tyler Evans. And many great nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. He is preceded in death by his father, Julius Petry, his father-in-law Thomas Hudson, and grandmother-in-law Dorothy Hudson.
