Robert “Bob” Rue Wilson, of Overland, Missouri, was born October 17, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri to Walter and Lois (nee Abram) Wilson and entered into rest Tuesday, May 7, 2024 in Overland, Missouri at the age of 75 years. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Wilson; his parents, Walter and Lois (nee Abram) Wilson; his siblings, Sally Adams and Rick Wilson. He is survived by his fiancé and forever partner, Brenda Rhodes; his children, Stacy (Jamison) Callis, Jason (Kelly) Wilson, Amanda Rhodes, Stephanie (Sean) Juergensen; his grandchildren, Katie Wilson, Logan (Mary Kate) Wilson, Jack (Samantha) Callis, Maxwell (Alicia) Callis; his great grandchildren, Daley McDonald and Teddy Callis; his siblings, Carol (Allen) Fischer, Gary (Wanda) Wilson, Cheri (Dan) Palmer, Kim (Mike) Beck, and Juanita Wilson; along with numerous other extended family and friends. As a devoted partner, Bob exemplified unwavering love and commitment to his fiancé and forever partner, Brenda. His dedication to his family was unmatched, and he found his greatest joy in spending time with his loved ones. As a father, he provided guidance, support, and endless love, shaping the lives of those he held dear. Bob was a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, delighting in the laughter and adventures of the younger generations. His presence brought warmth and joy to every family gathering, creating lasting bonds and treasured moments. A man of deep faith, Bob was a pillar of strength and spiritual guidance in his community. He believed wholeheartedly in the power of prayer and spent countless hours conducting Bible studies and serving his church. His dedication extended to driving the church bus, ensuring that all who wished to worship could do so with ease. In his leisure time, Bob found solace and joy in the beauty of the outdoors. Whether tending to his garden with his green thumb, casting a line while fishing, or simply appreciating nature's wonders, he found peace and contentment in the natural world. A lover of culinary arts and music, Bob had a passion for both cooking and listening to melodies that stirred the soul. He often shared his favorite tunes and claimed with a twinkle in his eye that he was the mastermind behind the timeless song, "Turn the Page," by Bob Seger. Among his many companions, one held a special place in his heart – his and Sandy’s beloved pet pig, "Peggy Sue." Their bond was a testament to Bob's tender and compassionate nature, showcasing his love for all creatures great and small. Though Bob may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his kindness, strength, and the countless lives he touched. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 11:00 noon until 12:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri 63016, immediately followed by Graveside Service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Cedar Hill, Missouri.
