Nathan William Scofield

Nathan William Scofield, of House Springs, Missouri was born June 22, 1984 in St. Louis, Missouri, to William (Wes) Scofield III and Sheryl Barker. He passed away, June 24, 2021. Nathan is survived by his three children, Victoria Skinner-Scofield, James and Gracelynn Scofield, his mother, Sheryl Barker, and his sisters, Kristy (William) Schafer and Melissa (Katie) Scofield. Nathan was preceded in death by his father, Wes. Nathan grew up in Fenton, Missouri attending Northwest High School. Nathan fell in love with Marissa Skinner-Scofield and shared fifteen years with her, creating a family and renovating their home. In recent years, Nathan became a devoted stay at home dad to his three children. He shared in Victoria’s love of horseback riding and always supported her. Nathan was elated to become a dad to his son James, and together they shared a special bond. James was included in any project Nathan was working on and Nathan would often give him rides around the yard on the tractor just to see him smile. Nathan doted on his baby Gracelynn, who was lucky enough to inherit her dad’s laid-back personality and big, heartwarming smile. Nathan loved his children beyond measure, and they meant the world to him. Nathan was blessed with many talents that extended into all aspects of his life. He had a knack for envisioning and creating beauty through outdoor landscaping. He was naturally mechanically inclined, and this led to his love of repairing small motors, welding and even creating a dirt bike from scratch. Nathan could tackle most jobs including electrical work, construction, carpentry, and tree trimming. He was generous with his time and talents and willing to help those in need, whether it be his family, friends, neighbors, or strangers. Even in his spare time Nathan like to keep himself busy. He loved spending time with his extended family on float trips, backyard barbecues and taking trips to the lake. He enjoyed going fishing, riding dirt bikes, playing with the dogs in the backyard and especially tinkering in his shed. Nathan also made a point of spending time working out and weightlifting and he found joy in reading, writing, and sharing inspirational quotes. Nathan acknowledged the Lord and always thought of himself as being blessed. Nathan’s down to earth nature and genuine compassion towards others will be fondly remembered. He was a kind, loving and hardworking father, son, brother, nephew, and friend. We will always miss and love you, Nathan.
