Murphy, Morris, of Fenton, Missouri was born September 28, 1929, in Van Buren, Missouri, to Lawrence and Dovie (nee Randolph) Murphy, and entered into rest, Friday, August 7, 2015, at Mercy St John’s in St Louis, Missouri, at the age of 85 years, 10 months and 10 days. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Winford Ray Murphy and his sister, Susie Patterson. He is survived by, His spouse, Mary Lee (nee Hammond) Murphy of Fenton, Missouri, Seven (7) children, Garold “Scott” Doyle, Lisa Marie Wapelhorst of Pacific, Missouri, Beverly Len (Cameron) Murphy of Nashville, Tennessee, Michael Ray Murphy of St Louis, Missouri, Morris “Steven” (Jennie) Murphy of Nashville, Tennessee, Leigh Frazier of Creve Coeur, Missouri, and Valerie Dixon of St Louis, Missouri, 12 grandchildren, Several great grandchildren, Two (2) siblings, Geneva Deaton of Columbia, Missouri and Robert E. (Mina) Murphy of Van Buren, Missouri, Special dog, Maggie Nieces, nephews and many friends Morris proudly served his country as a Vietnam and Korean Veteran in the United States Army and the United States Air Force. He retired from the United States Air Force after serving 26 years. He was a member of the VFW Post #400 of Fenton and the American Legion of Van Buren, Missouri. He loved reading, fishing, scuba diving, his German Shepherds, his family and friends. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation Monday, August 10, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri. Service Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY. Interment with full military honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
