Mary Jane Dawson

Mary J. Dawson Mary Jane (nee Ulianich) Dawson of Cedar Hill, Missouri, was born July 16, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri to Catherine (nee Potocnjak) Trostel and entered into rest Sunday, September 7, 2025 in Cedar Hill, Missouri at the age of 94 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Catherine Trostel. She is survived by her children, Dayle (Glen) Berrett, Gayle (Russ) Satterfield, Chris D’Angelo, and Jamie White; Three (3) grandchildren; Three (3) great-grandchildren; siblings, Anna (Bud) Metzler, Marion Letford, and Frances James; along with numerous other extended family and friends. Mary J. Dawson was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy was her family. She had the biggest heart and was known for her selfless nature, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Even after her retirement, she continued to return to her workplace to assist, a true reflection of her giving spirit. Mary also had a deep love for animals and was a passionate advocate for their rights. She took part in protests, cared for many pets of her own, and poured her love into each one. In addition, she found joy in painting, where she expressed her creativity and left behind pieces that reflected her gentle and thoughtful soul. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to both people and animals alike will be remembered by all who knew her. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri 63016. Funeral Ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary. Interment will immediately follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill, Missouri.
