Mary Geraldine "Geri" Black

Mary Geraldine Black "Geri" (nee Dale) of High Ridge, Missouri, was born June 20, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri to Luther and Margaret (nee Ford) Dale and entered into rest Saturday, July 11, 2026 in Fenton, Missouri at the age of 83 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Margaret (nee Ford) Dale; her husband, Bryan D. Black; daughter, Julia Black-Baker; son-in-law, Dennis Keenoy. She is survived by her daughters, Judy (Kevin) Seitz, P.J. (Alvin) Rutledge and Melissa (the late Denny) Black-Keenoy. Special friends Bill and Kay Lutker, Suzan Weller, Beth Cavanaugh-Keenoy, and Kathy Keenoy-Wilson. Grandchildren, Drew (Rachael) Campbell, Samantha (Jason) Fatch, Zach Seitz, Julia Kent, Dani Klein, Rohan Keenoy, Rylie Keenoy, Aubrie (Justin) Meadows and Allie (Brandon) Oban. Great Grandchildren: Conrad Oban, Westin Oban, Louis Oban, Ruby Oban, Owen Meadows, Millie Meadows, Scarlet Kent, Christian Barton, Brynn Estopare, Stella Fatch, and Olivia Fatch. Geri found joy in life's simple pleasures and in spending time with the people she loved. She was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan, faithfully listening to games on her old black radio until she was finally able to watch them on television, and she also enjoyed cheering on the St. Louis Blues. She enjoyed reading her Bible and her favorite books, cooking, crafting, crocheting, thrift shopping, listening to music, and attending the special events and sporting activities of her daughters and grandchildren. She had a special love for dogs and leaves behind her beloved companion, Pepper. She also enjoyed watching animal rescue programs, especially Lucky Dog. Geri found purpose in her work with Disability Resource Association, where she enjoyed supporting individuals with disabilities and making a difference in their lives. Geri will be remembered for her kindness, quiet strength, gentle spirit, and sense of humor. She leaves behind many cherished memories that will continue to be treasured by her family and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri 63016. Funeral Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary. Graveside service will immediately follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill, Missouri.
