Mark Joseph Korman

Korman, Mark Joseph of Byrnes Mill, Missouri, was born January 21, 1965 in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert and Shirley (nee Weidlich) Korman and entered into rest on August 8, 2024 in Byrnes Mill, Missouri at the age of 59 years. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved man who touched the lives of so many. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Shirley (nee Weidlich) Korman. He is survived by his beloved ex-spouse of 16 years, Sheri Streiler; four (4) children: Matt Korman, Tiffany Korman, Heather (Bob) Henry, and Mark Korman II; five (5) grandchildren: Matthew, Luke, Tiara, Little Bob, and Ira; four (4) siblings: Ed Korman, Mary (Tim) Bierne, Christine Parker, and Kathy (Larry) Grelle; along with numerous other extended family and friends. Mark was a loving father, devoted grandfather, and cherished brother. His life was centered around his family, and he found his greatest joy in spending time with them. His love for his children and grandchildren was boundless, and he made sure they felt it every day. Mark was an old-school rocker, attending every concert he could, and knew all the back streets of Kirkwood by heart. Despite growing up in Kirkwood, Mark was a country boy at heart. He learned to fish with his dad and to hunt with his lifelong friends, Kenny and Howard. He was never happier than when he was fishing for bluegills or hunting deer, turkeys, or morel mushrooms. His carpentry skills were beautiful. He could envision what he wanted to create and build it. Honesty and reliability were at the core of Mark’s character. A true dog lover, he also had a passion for cooking, especially grilling for his family. He cherished holidays, with Christmas holding a special place in his heart. Sundays were often spent watching football, and he never missed an episode of Family Feud or The Flintstones. Mark was a master storyteller, often sharing lengthy tales regardless of whether his audience was listening. His talent as a heavy equipment operator was well-known, and he took great pride in his work. At sporting events, he was the loudest cheerleader, embarrassing his children with his enthusiastic support, a tradition he continued with his grandchildren. Mark was known for his generosity, always ready to give you the shirt off back. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, laughter, and unyielding support will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri 63016. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill, Missouri.
