Larry "Rick" Breedlove Sr.

Larry “Rick” Breedlove, Sr., of Park Hills, Missouri, was born March 3, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri to Everett and Ruth (nee Rowland) Breedlove and entered into rest Friday, April 5, 2024 in Park Hills, Missouri at the age of 78 years. He is preceded in death by wife, Elsie “Veronica” Breedlove; his parents, Everett and Ruth (nee Rowland) Breedlove; two (2) brothers, Lloyd Breedlove and Theodore Breedlove; as well as two (2) sisters, Clara Catalone and Helen Barbeau. He is survived by his children, Kimberly (Keith) Wilson of Park Hills, Missouri, Larry Breedlove Jr. of Arnold, Missouri, Frances (Dave) Roedel of Park Hills, Missouri, Jason Breedlove of Park Hills, Missouri, Brian Breedlove of Park Hills, Missouri, Danielle (Bobby) West of Farmington, Missouri; (10) grandchildren; and sixteen (16) great grandchildren; Shianne Suter, the mother of Danielle; as well as a sister, Doris Reifstack of Arnold, Missouri; along with numerous other extended family and friends. Larry was known for his zest for life and his love for the simple joys it offered. Larry's adventurous spirit led him to embrace outdoor activities from a young age. He found solace and joy in horse racing, swimming, camping, and mastering the art of cooking barbecue. His passion for these activities was contagious, and he often shared these experiences with his family and friends, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime. As a father and grandfather, Larry was the epitome of love, guidance, and unwavering support. He was deeply devoted to his family, sharing fond memories with his “four girls,” Fran, Robin, Danielle, Kim, and his 3 boys, as his presence brought warmth and laughter to every gathering. Whether imparting wisdom around the campfire or treating them to his signature barbecue recipes, Larry's love knew no bounds. In addition to his dedication to his family, Larry will be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and genuine love for life. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, MO 63016.
