John Edward Lenhardt

Lenhardt, John Edward, of High Ridge, Missouri was born January 19, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri to LeRoy John Lenhardt and Rita Ann Poeschel and entered into rest Thursday, February 2, 2023 in Fenton, Missouri at the age of 64 years and 14 days. He is preceded in death by his parents, LeRoy and Thelma (nee Carlton) Lenhardt and Rita Ann Poeschel; one brother, LeRoy Lenhardt. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Laurie (nee Reed) Lenhardt; children, Scott Edward Lenhardt and Sarah Michelle (Nicholas Anthony) Badalamenti; grandson, Landon Joseph; sister, Kim (Jeff) Hunter; in-laws, Jim and Louise Reed; sister-in-law, Debby (Derrek) Moore; brothers-in-law, Jimmy (Debi) Reed and Rob (Julie) Reed nieces and nephews, Erika (Alex) Robinson, Nick (Olivia) Moore, Ally Reed, and Logan Reed; great nephew, William Moore. John was a master mechanic, wood worker and most importantly a family man. Anyone who knew John knew he was a hard worker, he worked so that his family could have anything they wanted. John worked for the Laborer’s Local 42 for five years, then retired from GE Lamp Plant after twenty years of service. After working for GE Lamp, he then joined the Teamsters and worked for Schnucks for over fourteen years. One of John’s biggest passions, other than work, was his farm. Every chance he got, he would head to the farm in his Chevy truck to cut grass, trim trees, drive his John Deere tractor and be with his family. His fondest memory at the farm was when he was able to walk his daughter down the aisle at the farm. Some of his other hobbies were going crappie fishing, hunting and he loved to travel with his wife. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary 6300 Hwy. 30 Cedar Hill, Missouri 63016. Service will be Monday, February 6, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. Chapel Hill Mortuary, followed by a Graveside Service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
