Jerry R. Peterson

Jerry Richard Peterson of Cedar Hill, Missouri, was born July 26, 1951 in St. Louis, Missouri to J.W. Peterson and entered into rest Sunday, June 21, 2026 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 74 years. He is preceded in death by his father, J.W. Peterson. He is survived by his wife, Ann (nee Bryant) Peterson; children, Lisa (Frank) LaManna and Mike (Jennifer) Peterson; grandchildren, Cheyenne, Estin, Ivy, and Camille; four-legged friend, Lucy; along with numerous other extended family and friends. Jerry Peterson was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose greatest joy in life was his family. He worked hard throughout his life and built a successful career as an automotive technician after graduating from South County Technical High School. Jerry took great pride in his work and was respected by many for his knowledge, dedication, and strong work ethic. Known for his warm personality, Jerry never met a stranger. He had a remarkable ability to strike up a conversation with anyone and quickly turn acquaintances into friends. His kindness, sense of humor, and genuine interest in others left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Jerry was passionate about sports and could often be found cheering on his beloved Mizzou Tigers and the St. Louis Cardinals. He also dedicated many seasons to coaching girls' softball, where he enjoyed mentoring young athletes and sharing his love of the game. In his spare time, Jerry enjoyed perfecting his lawn and staying current on political events. Whether spending time with family, watching a ballgame, coaching on the softball field, or trying new lawn care tricks, Jerry embraced life with enthusiasm and a generous spirit.Jerry's legacy of love, hard work, and friendship will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri 63016. Funeral Ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary.
