Baker, James Dolan, of High Ridge, Missouri was born October 19, 1948 in Sikeston, Missouri to James Jackson and Charlene (nee Smith) Baker and entered into rest Thursday, April 13, 2023 in Chesterfield, Missouri at the age of 74 years, 5 months, and 25 days. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Jackson and Charlene (nee Smith) Baker, Former Wife, Peggy Ann (nee Sherfield) Baker, Sister, Janis Graham, Niece, Gloria Hensley In-Laws, Clinton and Virginia Montgomery, Former In-Laws, Russell and Virginia (nee Hunsaker) Sherfield. Uncle, Lauren Howell, He is survived by loving wife, Betsy (nee Montgomery) Baker, Children, Todd (Becky) Baker, Jeff (Susan) Baker, Jimmy Young, Glenn Young, Kathy Dillon, and Glenda Young, Grandchildren, Liam, Ella, Nicholas, Crystal, Lacy, Heather, Leigh, Tiffany, Chad, BJ, and Brandon, Several Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren, Niece, Tonja Graham, Nephew, Jimbo Graham, Aunts, Sharon Russom, Tiny McRoberts, and Claudette Howell Uncle, Bill Smith, Best Friend, Mike Richardson, along with numerous extended family and friends. James was a loving Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Uncle, and Friend. He loved all kinds of sports. Nascar, Cardinals, Wrestling (as Gentleman Jim), and Mizzou teams. He loved sitting next to his wife, holding hands, and watching TV. James also had a love for everything Elvis. Good food was easy to spot for him, he loved to BBQ and he loved his Daves Diner. His sweet and caring personality was one that people will never forget. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. Visitation will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. followed by a Service at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, MO 63016. Graveside Service will be Monday, April 24, 2023 at 11:30 a.m. Please meet at Chapel Hill Mortuary by 10:15 a.m. to go in precession to Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
