Irene Mary Sullenger

Sullenger, Irene of De Soto, Missouri, was born November 25, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri to Harvey John Sr. and Lavon (nee Cobb) Berry and entered into rest Tuesday, February 04, 2025 in Park Hills, Missouri at the age of 81 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Sullenger, her parents, Harvey John Sr. & Lavon (nee Cobb) Berry; as well as her siblings Harvey Berry Jr. & Chester P. Berry. She is survived by her children, Teresa (Skippy) Hagedorn & Brian (Denise) Sullenger; grandchildren, Megan (Rob) Moore, Anthony Cates, Liz Hagedorn (Colin), Dane Hagedorn, Justin Sullenger, Candance Sullenger; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Sawyer, Cooper, Presley, Avrey, Emilee, and Paislee; as well as two dear friends, Leigh and Kay; along with numerous other extended family and friends. Irene Mary Sullenger was a devoted mother and grandmother, and an even more devoted wife to her late husband, Larry Sullenger. She dedicated her life to caring for her family, spending most of her years as a stay-at-home mom and later caring for her grandchildren, who were the center of her world. Irene had a deep love for gardening and canning, enjoyed boating and fishing, and found joy in sewing and crocheting. She was an avid bowler, even coaching others in the sport. A passionate St. Louis Cardinals fan, she never missed a game on TV and seized every opportunity to see them play in person. She was also a proud supporter of breast cancer awareness, having won her own battle 16 years ago. As a survivor, she actively participated in many Susan G. Komen events, proudly walking in parades to raise awareness and support others in their fight. Irene also had a deep love for music and concerts, sharing countless unforgettable experiences with her daughter. Her warmth, love, and vibrant spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, MO 63016. Funeral Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill, MO.
