Harold Hografe

Hografe, Harold, of Robertsville, Missouri was born April 23, 1929, in Oermann, Missouri to Arthur Hografe and Lydia (nee Redhage) Hografe and entered into rest Friday, March 13, 2015 at St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, Missouri at the age of 85 years, 10 months and 20 days. He is preceded in death by his parents, one (1) sister, Artharine Steins, six (6) brothers, Wally Hografe, Orvee Hografe, Edward Hografe, Herbert Hografe, Hadley Hografe and Harry Hografe. He is survived by, his loving wife of 60 years, Gerry H. (nee Eggers) Hografe of Robertsville, Missouri, five (5) children, Bonnie (Joseph) Toomey, of Fenton, Missouri, Shirley (John) Roth-Roffy, of St. Louis, Missouri, Kenneth Hografe of Cedar Hill, Missouri, Mark Hografe, of Robertsville, Missouri and David (Karen) Hografe of Mineral Point, Missouri, seven (7) grandsons, Kurtis Hografe, Michael Toomey, Stephen Toomey, Kevin (Megan) Toomey, Eric (Meagan) Roth-Roffy, Brian Roth-Roffy and Matthew Hografe, five (5) great grandchildren, Dalton, Kaden, Jordyn, Tyler and Connor, one (1) brother-in-law, Wayne Eggers, special uncle to Gene (Dawn) Eggers, Joseph (Donna) and Nita Eggers, great uncle to Logan, Samantha, Landon and Grayson, one (1) sister-in-law, Ellen Hografe, and many other relatives and friends. Harold was a devoted husband, marrying his wife, Gerry, in October 1954. He was in the United States Army and received three Bronze Stars and a Combat Infantry Badge. Harold was the final Charter Member of the Cedar Hill VFW Post 5331. He was a confirmed member of St. Martins UCC in Dittmer. He was a hard worker and had many hobbies including gardening, farming, playing guitar and singing. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Visitation Sunday, March 15 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri. Service Monday, March 16, 10:00 a.m. at St. Martins UCC Dittmer, 7890 Dittmer Ridge Road, Dittmer, Missouri 63023.
