Gwendolyn Colleen Taylor

Gwendolyn Colleen (nee Crites) Taylor of Cedar Hill, Missouri, was born August 14, 1931 in Thomasville, Missouri to the late Robert Jackson and Julia Anna (nee Tinsley) Crites and entered into rest Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the age of 93 years. She is beloved by her husband, the late Morris C. Taylor; children, Joseph (the late Janice) Taylor, the late Gerald Taylor, Norma (James) Weible, Robert “Paul” (Kathy) Taylor, Michael (Linda) Taylor; grandchildren, Michelle Green, David (Cindy) Taylor, Monique Crawford, Matthew (Angela) Taylor, Melanie Lloyd, the late Jordan (Kandah) Taylor, Emily Pedecone, Emily (Grady) Renfrow, Jerry (Veronica) Taylor, Julie (the late Randy) Hinsen, Jaime (Jeff) Campbell, Christopher (Molly) Taylor, Katie (John) Parai, and Anna Taylor; great-grandchildren, Dustin, Sara, Gianna, Brendan, Mason, Adrienne, Andrew, Ryan, Conan, Heidi, Wesley, Vivian, Daniel, Angelica, Aaron, Brittany, Nicholas, Kendra, Asher, Ian, Elliott, Willow, and Rose; great-great-grandchildren, Tyler, Cayden, and Alayna; siblings, the late Charles Crites and the late Winifred Burrow; along with numerous other extended family and friends. Gwendolyn was a devoted and compassionate woman whose life was deeply rooted in faith, family, and love. Gwendolyn was married to the love of her life on August 30, 1947, and together they built a life filled with love and purpose. A cherished member of First Baptist Church of Cedar Hill, she dedicated herself to God and her church community. She was a long-time volunteer at Feed My People and offered a helping hand wherever needed. As a business owner, she showed unwavering determination and commitment. Her legacy of kindness, faith, and acceptance will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, MO 63016. Funeral Ceremony will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Cedar Hill, 8265 Local Hillsboro Rd., Cedar Hill, MO 63016. Interment will immediately follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill, MO.
