Faye Parkinson

Parkinson, Faye, (nee Moder) of Byrnes Mill, Missouri, was born September 3, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri to Livinus and Pearl (nee Renz) Moder and entered into rest Saturday, February 17, 2024 at the age of 81 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Livinus and Pearl (nee Renz) Moder and her brothers, Livinus Moder and Joseph Moder. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert “Red” Parkinson; sons, Jeff Parkinson, Tim Parkinson, and Greg Parkinson; grandchildren, Zoe and Sophia Parkinson; along with numerous other extended family and friends. Faye's impact on education was profound. She was a visionary whose pioneering efforts led to the establishment of the first initial gifted program at Northwest School District. Through her determination and passion, Faye transformed the educational landscape, providing invaluable opportunities for students to flourish and excel beyond measure. Faye's commitment to nurturing young minds extended far beyond the classroom. As the principal of Cedar Springs, she instilled a sense of purpose and fostered an environment where students could thrive academically and personally. A lover of nature, Faye possessed a remarkable green thumb and an unwavering passion for horticulture. Her greenhouses were her sanctuary, where she found solace and joy amidst the blooms. With her keen eye for design, Faye cultivated beauty and serenity, leaving an enduring legacy that will continue to flourish through the gardens she lovingly tended. Faye's dedication to her community knew no bounds. As the city clerk of Byrnes Mill, she played a pivotal role in its founding and development, leaving an indelible mark on its history. Her selflessness, compassion, and unwavering dedication touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Faye Parkinson’s legacy of love, kindness, and service will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
