Barner, Donna L. (nee Cawood) of Imperial, Missouri, was born March 28, 1954 in St. Louis, Missouri to John and Arlene (nee Lorenz) Cawood and entered into rest Tuesday, August 21, 2024 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 70 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Arlene (nee Lorenz) Cawood; husband of 23 years, Mitch Barner; fiancé of 10 years, Larry Hamlett. She is survived by her God-mother and aunt, Jane Shields; aunts, Carol Crites and Nancy Nickolotsky; uncles, Gordon Lorenz and Jerry Lorenz; cousins, Linda Hamilton, Barb Kaiser, Kevin Lorenz, Laura Rothman, Scott Lorenz, Valerie Woods, Aaron Nickolotsky and Renee Ruhl; step-grandchildren; along with numerous other beloved nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Donna was a vibrant soul whose laughter and warmth touched everyone around her. She had a heart full of love for her friends, always bringing joy with her infectious energy and unwavering loyalty. Singing was her passion, and her voice had a way of lifting spirits wherever she went. Donna also had an incredible flair for decorating, turning ordinary spaces into beautiful, welcoming havens. She often referred to herself as "Fat and Sassy," embracing life with a bold sense of humor and confidence that was truly inspiring. Her beloved dog, Eve, was her constant companion and like a child to her, a true reflection of her boundless love. Donna’s light will continue to shine in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, MO 63016. Funeral Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill, MO. Internment will immediately follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill, MO.
