Delbert Viehland July 6, 1954 – September 4, 2025 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Delbert Edwin Viehland on September 4, 2025, at the age of 71. A devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many, Del was a man who dedicated his life to family, hard work, and community service. Del was the proud father of Chad Viehland (wife Stella Viehland ) and Ryan Viehland (wife Kayla Viehland ), and a beloved grandfather to Chase and Cooper Viehland , as well as Nixon and Everly Viehland . His family was his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. A retired Teamster with Local 682 , Del exemplified loyalty and dedication throughout his career. In retirement, he pursued his passion for collecting Farmall tractors , attending car shows , and spreading joy by portraying Santa Claus at local community events. Del was deeply committed to serving his community. He was a proud 30+ year member and past president of the House Springs LIONS Club , a dedicated Cedar Hill Fire Board Member for over 30 years , and an active supporter and volunteer with organizations including the Peace Pantry , the Democratic Club , and the Old St. Patrick Rock Church Picnic . He was a lifelong member of St. Martin United Church of Christ in Dittmer , where his faith and service helped guide his generous spirit. Those who knew Del will remember him for his kindness, willingness to help anyone in need, and his good-natured teasing. He lived his life with purpose and heart, leaving behind a legacy of service, love, and integrity. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, MO 63016. Funeral Ceremony will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary. Interment will immediately follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Peace Pantry or St. Martin's UCC, Dittmer, in his honor.
