Darlene "Dart" Swinford

Swinford, Darlene “Dart”, of Grubville, Missouri, was born October 29, 1942, in Valley Park, Missouri to Omer and Ida (nee Adams) Rose and entered into rest Saturday, October 17, 2020 in Fenton, Missouri at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 19 days. She is preceded in death by, her husband Jerry Swinford, both parents and two sisters, Carol and Frannie. She is survived by, two (2) daughters, Sheila (John) Bilin of Grubville, Missouri and Tonjya Gianfrancesco of St. Petersburg, Florida, six (6) grandchildren, Amanda, Taylor, Cassidy, Kassidy, Jessica and Matthew, six (6) great-grandchildren, Sophia, River, Daxton, Maizie, Skyler and Jameson, along with many other family and friends. Dart described life as a wonderful roller coaster. She even stated, “It was just how God wanted it to be.” Her favorite sayings were, “Lefty loosey – righty tighty”, “Never go to bed mad at each other”, “Sweet dreams” and “I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck”. Some of her favorite times were holding her grandbabies and great-grandbabies during camping trips and vacations and being able to visit with them. Darts most remarkable accomplishments were that she survived cancer twice and became one of the best forklift drivers for Bohn and Dawson. She stated “I could pick a dime up off the floor. He challenged me to prove it. Fastest $500.00 I ever made.” Dart enjoyed her time at the Casino, Las Vegas with her late sister Carol, poker nights, bingo, Keno and playing horse shoes. God’s mission to Dart is to be kind and love one another, forgive, don’t judge and treat others as you wish to be treated. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Hwy 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri 63016.
