Curt Fritz On the evening of August 29th, during the most vibrant and colorful sunset, coupled with the brightest full / super moon of the year, Curt passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on his own terms with his entire family by his side. His timing was perfect as his favorite song was Frank Sinatra’s “Fly Me To The Moon.” The sunset was God’s way of opening the gates to Heaven, and the light of the moon was a message to let us all know that Curt will continue guiding us throughout our lives. Curt is survived by his loving wife Judy who shared 30 years of a fairy-tale marriage, filled with love, travel, adventures and a lifetime of unforgettable memories. Through his generosity and humility, Curt always insisted on serving others first and making sure his family and friends were taken care of before himself. His consistent and quiet demeanor defined what it was to be a true and honest Gentle-Man. He will be missed by all. Curt was the loving father of Jeff (Andi) and Matt (Jenny) Fritz as well as a 2nd father to Kent (Jami) Harman and Linda (Gary) Muenster. He was also blessed with six adored grandkids: Maddison, Garrett, Alexis, Alyssa, Kaitlyn and Jackson. While he loved his family unconditionally, he was most proud to be the loving dog-dad to his favorite girl, Molly. Curt was a man of great strength and accomplishment, both personally and professionally. His strength allowed him to endure and survive many health setbacks and his amazing intellect allowed him to achieve professional success over his entire career. He was a vociferous reader and a master of cross-word puzzles….playing cards with Curt was a losing proposition for all involved. Curt was a man of honor and loyalty beginning as a 19-year-old proudly serving his country during his time overseas in the U.S. Navy. His honor and commitment never changed as his entire life was guided by his unwavering principles to the things that mattered most to him: Faith, Family and Friends. He praised God, he loved his family, and he appreciated his many friends. Curt lived his best life, and we should all follow his example. While we are sad to lose our friend, our faith will get us through our grief The gospel says: “Sadness and grief is the price we pay for love.” We are sad and grieving today simply because we loved an amazing man. To celebrate Curt’s life, the family will be receiving friends on September 20th at Chapel Hill Mortuary at 10301 Big Bend, Kirkwood MO 63122 with a memorial service at 11:00am followed by visitation / celebration of life. The family requests that in lieu of flowers PLEASE consider an equivalent donation to one of Curt’s favorite charities: Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
