Clifford August Clifton

Clifford August Clifton 11/12/1958 – 01/16/2024 Clifford August Clifton, 65 of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away 01/16/2024 after a long battle with cancer. Clifford enjoyed watching stock car and Nascar races. He loved going to the track with friends and family and spending the whole day there watching the races, cheering on his favorites and enjoying time with loved ones. His favorite two racers were Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr. He was so proud of his Dale Earnhardt Jr. coat he wore it everywhere. He had a real passion for making cakes for friends and family. He would make a cake for all kinds of occasions like birthdays, holidays, baby showers and weddings. He had photo album full of pictures of all the cakes he made. He loved to try and make creative cakes with fun flavor varieties. His favorite cake that he made was one he created for the children at a Christmas party. Every item on the cake was edible and everyone enjoyed eating that cake. He made friends wherever he went. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He loved his family. He shared everything that he had in this world with anyone in need. He was always helping others and if he saw a need he would help in any way to fill it. Clifford was preceded in death by his father William James Clifton Jr, his mother Dorothy Cozetta Clifton and his brother, Ellis Charles Clifton He is survived by his sister, Mary Ann (Ron) Woods. His brothers Harold (Mary Jane) Clifton, Walter (Barb) Clifton and Robert (Shari) Clifton. His nieces and nephews: Sherry (Darren) Tiemstra, David (Deanna) Woods, Sarah (Shean) Kelley, Anna (Joey) Stokes, Steven (Lindsay) Clifton, Thomas (Ali McKee) Clifton, Chrissy Clifton, Jacobs Clifton, Amanda Clifton and Rebecca Clifton. His great nieces and nephews Allora, Drennan, Declan, Dylan, Abbey, Seff, DJ, Marinna and Mason His friends Debbie, Mariah, Ronald, Leo and Barbara. Clifford was strong willed and stubborn at times but he also had an enormous heart and a wonderful send of humor. He was generous, loyal and brave. He was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained from his many life experiences. He will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them. When his time came he carried himself with dignity, strength and full of love for all those that went before him. He will be missed dearly. In typical Clifford fashion, there will be no services planned, certainly no pomp and circumstances. A celebration of life will occur in April with detailed to be determined. Have no fears one beer, one shot and one cigarette will be there waiting for him.
