Charlotte Delores Brooks

Charlotte Delores Brooks (nee Rodgers), of Rock Hill, Missouri was born December 16, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri to Richard and Roma (nee Birchette) Rodgers and entered into rest on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 in St. Louis, Missouri. Charlotte attended the Kirkwood School District, graduated in 1967. She also attended Meramec Community College and Draughons Business College, in which she received an Associate’s Degree in Business. Charlotte worked as a Private Duty Nurse and a CAN for over 40 years. She loved caring for people. She was called the “Neighborhood Typist”, she did freelance typing for lawyers and anyone who needed her service. Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents; Richard, Sr. and Roma Rodgers, her brother; Richard Rodgers, Jr. and her husband; David Brooks. Charlotte is survived by her son; Sean Brooks, a surrogate grandson; Amir Costello, one brother; Quinton (Vanessa) Pearson, four nieces; Virginia Rodgers, Richella Rodgers-Baker, Theresa Rodgers, and Regina Rodgers, one nephew; Abeku Pearson, two great nephews; Maeson Rodgers and Marcus Rodgers, one god daughter; Ophelia Barrett, one god son; Glen Richardson, a host of cousins, a circle of classmates; Janice Phillips, Robert Whittaker, Priscilla Utley, Susan Jones, Jean Brown, Rollo Johnson, Lee Brown, Jesse Ward, Classie Wandix, Albert Hurst, Felicia Ward, Rebecca Fullbright, and Donna Glass, “Golden Girls” friends; Rosie Fields, Wanda Moose, Phyliss Sebree, Clorliss McCollough, and Sharon Carter, special friends; Anita McAdoo, Jerry McAdoo, and Isiah (Ike) Meriweather, a host of other friends. Charlotte will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held Friday, June 23, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 10301 Big Bend Road, Kirkwood, Missouri. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Episcopal Church, 514 E Argonne Dr, Kirkwood, Missouri, followed by Graveside Service at Oak Hill Cemetery, 10301 Big Bend Road, Kirkwood, Missouri.
