Betty Jean Bittick

Bittick, Betty Jean, of Marshfield, Missouri, was born October 13, 1928 in Bonne Terre Missouri to Lloyd and Elizabeth (nee Ransom) Crepps and entered into rest Thursday, March 16, 2023 at Marantha Village in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 94 years, 5 months and 3 days. She is preceded in death by, her parents; her loving husband of 56 years, Red Bittick. Betty was ready to rejoin him after 16 years of separation. She is survived by, her three (3) children; Roger Bittick and his wife Carolyn of Farmington, Paula Ruth and her husband Mark of Strafford, and Debbie Garling of Springfield, two (2) grandchildren; Kyle Bittick and his wife Cindy of Wentzville, and Kristy Knox and her husband Kris of St. Charles, five (5) great grandchildren; Lucas Ruth of Strafford and Sawyer, Griffin, and Hudson of St. Charles, along with numerous extended family and friends. Betty was a loving wife, devoted mother, doting grandmother and great grandmother, beloved sister, and dear friend to many. Betty worked in the Central R-III school system for 40 years as a secretary and book keeper. Betty loved camping in her and Red’s RV during the winter months in South Padre, Texas, where they were surrounded by their friends. They enjoyed deep sea fishing and walking on the beach collecting shells. Betty was able to travel to Hawaii and took several road trips throughout the country with dear friends. She loved going to Downstream Casino where she usually won on the penny machines. Betty loved crafting and traveling to several craft shows in Missouri and Arkansas and made life long friends with these events. Betty enjoyed working in her yard. No weed had a chance when she was around. Betty will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Graveside Service at 2:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6776 Vo Tech Road, Bonne Terre, Missouri.
