Bernadine "Bernie" Geitz

Geitz, Bernadine (nee Fuchs), of Cedar Hill, Missouri, was born April 3, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri to George and Pauline (nee Gebhardt) Fuchs and entered into rest Wednesday, January 31, 2024 in Fenton, Missouri at the age of 82 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Pauline (nee Gebhardt) Fuchs; her husband, Clarence Geitz; brothers, Edward Fuchs and George “Dutch” Fuchs. She is survived by her children, Dianne Geitz of Cedar Hill, Missouri and Gail (nee Geitz) Manning of De Soto, Missouri; grandchildren, Amanda (Ryan Reed) Manning and Emily Manning; son-in-law, Ron Manning; along with numerous other extended family and friends. Bernie, a devoted mother, grandmother, and the late Clarence's loving wife of 58 years, touched the lives of many as a trusted and dedicated school bus driver with Lindbergh schools for 32 years. Her impact on the students she served was profound, and she leaves behind a legacy of caring and commitment. Bernie's days were filled with diverse passions, from steering a school bus to tending horses and attending horse shows, rescuing animals, cooking delicious meals, enjoyed antique automobiles, and embracing the joys of camping. Bernie's warm presence at church picnics further showcased her sense of community and fellowship. In every endeavor, she approached life with purpose and dedication, leaving an enduring impression on those fortunate enough to share in her company. Bernie will be remembered with deep fondness and missed dearly by all who were touched by her love and kindness. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 3:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, MO 63016. Funeral Ceremony will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill, MO. Interment will immediately follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill, MO.
