Barbara Sue Syers

Barbara Sue Syers, beloved daughter, wife, sister, mother, and community member of Byrnes Mill, Missouri passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at the age of 56. Sue was born in St. Charles, Missouri on July 6, 1966, to father Gerald Reiser and mother Connie Reiser (nee Courtney) and raised in St. Charles, Missouri. Sue was the youngest of eight children born to Gerald and Connie and enjoyed many childhoods memories camping, going to Six Flags, and any activity near water. She enjoyed the outdoors and spent many days exploring local parks with different animals throughout her life. She enjoyed watching Blues games and John Wayne movies with her father growing up. Sue married Dave Syers in 1988 and together they raised two children, Jessica and Kyle. Sue was very active in her church, Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in House Springs, and in her local community. Sue was a natural leader and enjoyed organizing and participating in events for the youth and young adults all around her. She was very active in the St. Louis ACTS missions, helping others find their way to Christ. Sue was always passionate about working in her local community and helping anyone in need. Sue spent many summer days with family and friends on the lake that she lived. If she was not at home, you could most likely find her out on the water. She loved gardening, a good sunrise and sunset, and many nights by the fire. ' Sue was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Dave; daughter Jessica (Rusty) Rider, and son Kyle (Cassie Shrewsbury) Syers; five sisters and two brothers, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. A visitation for Sue is planned for Saturday, January 21st at 10:00am at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in House Springs on 4696 Notre Dame Ln, House Springs, MO 63051 with a funeral service immediately following. All are invited to attend, celebrate, and remember Sue.
