Anita Lucille Bowers (nee Mudge)

Anita Lucille Bowers (nee Mudge), of Dittmer, Missouri, was born February 20, 1929 in Yount, Missouri to Renford and Martina (nee Trousdale) Mudge and entered into rest Monday, April 29, 2024 in Chesterfield, Missouri at the age of 95 years. Anita, a cherished member of her family and community, was a beacon of love, devotion, and kindness throughout her life. She is preceded in death by her parents; Renford and Martina (nee Trousdale) Mudge, her grandson; Ronald Delashmet II, her siblings; Melvin (Dorothy) Mudge, Alvena Hill, and Elmo Mudge. She is survived by her children; Paula (Frank Minks) Duncan and Tom (the late Pat) McCoy, her grandchildren; Tricia (Richard) Palazzolo, Eric (Stephanie) Sallee, Kelsey (Zach) Tournear, Charlie (Denise) McCoy, and Tamara McCoy, her great grandchildren; Dustin (Andrea) Nelson, Timothy (Ashley) Nelson, Jr., Kayla (Ryan) Nelson, Jude Sallee, Gage Tournear, Chase Tournear, Lorelei Tournear, Luke Tournear, Devon McCoy, Connor McCoy, Ronald (Kinsey) Delashmet III, Madison Delashmet, and Kaden Delashmet, her great great grandchildren; Payton, Olivia, Eli, Emma, Sydney, Zoey, Austyn, Jade, and Neveah, her sister; Nelda (Melvin) Bellew, along with numerous other extended family and friends. Anita found her greatest joy in spending time with her beloved family. As a devoted mother, she poured her heart into nurturing and guiding her children, leaving a legacy of love that will endure through generations. Anita's role as a doting grandmother and great grandmother brought her immense happiness, and she cherished every moment spent with her precious grandchildren. A beloved sister, Anita was a source of strength and support to her siblings, fostering deep bonds of love and camaraderie within her family circle. A woman of unwavering faith, Anita's life was guided by her Christian values. She exemplified compassion and understanding, never passing judgment on others and always extending a hand of friendship to those in need. Anita found solace and inspiration in the pages of the Bible, drawing wisdom and comfort from its teachings. Anita's generosity knew no bounds, and she was known for her philanthropic spirit and willingness to help others in any way she could. As a successful real estate investor, she used her talents to rehabilitate and restore homes, leaving a tangible impact on her community. Anita had a passion for nature and took great delight in the beauty of flowers. Her green thumb was evident in her thriving vegetable garden, where she cultivated an abundance of fresh produce with care and dedication. A skilled cook and baker, Anita delighted in preparing delicious meals and treats for her loved ones, filling their hearts and bellies with warmth and joy. In her leisure time, Anita found enjoyment in the simple pleasures of life, including her favorite pastime of playing the online game, Candy Crush. Her playful spirit and zest for life endeared her to all who knew her. Anita Bowers will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will continue to inspire and uplift those whose lives she touched. Though she may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, located at 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri 63016, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share stories of her remarkable life Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill immediately followed by a Graveside Service at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Cedar Hill.
