Patricia Jean Hays

Hays, Patricia "Patti", of Flagler Beach, Florida, was born September 14,1955 in St. Louis, Missouri. Daughter of LeRoy and Bonnie “Betty” (nee Altemeyer) Stark. She entered into rest Saturday, October 29, 2022 in Palm Coast, Florida at the age of 67 years 1 month and 15 days. She is preceded in death by, her parents, And three siblings, Donna Perkins, Christa Scanlon, and Cynthia Miller. She is survived by; Four siblings, Peggy Jane (nee Baugh) Ochs of Flagler Beach, Florida, Pam (the late Ray) Toth of Fenton, Missouri, LeRoy (Barb) Stark of Robertsville, Missouri, and Richard (Karen) Stark of House Springs, Missouri, Her daughter Tracy (Marcus) McDonough of Chulouta, Florida Two grandsons, Brycen Dillinger (16), and William McDonough (4), along with numerous extended family and friends. Patti was a loving mother, memaw, sister and friend. She was extremely devoted as a single mother and loved her family fiercely. Her desire to provide and give to those she loved made her extraordinary and she always put the needs of others above herself. Her grandbabies were her world. You would regularly find her cheering the loudest at their baseball games or in the pool with them splashing about. She adored them as they did her. The belly button finder was always sure to bring about lots of belly laughs. Patti was a dedicated employee and loved her job and team at Express Scripts. She always aimed to please and support her co-workers any way she could (sometimes with late nights and a lot of on call). In life she worked hard and played hard, between family, friends, getting her masters, her job, cruises, and her love of ship captains, she lived life to the fullest and always brought joy and smiles to those around her. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Patti was very passionate about raising awareness and funds for cancer research. She participated in several walks and fundraising events in support of her grandson Brycen who battled brain cancer at an early age.
