Lawrence "Larry" Schnapp

Schnapp, Lawrence Anthony, of Eureka, Missouri was born October 30, 1929 in St. Louis, Missouri to Leo and Marie (nee Mesielak) Schnapp, and entered into rest, Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the age of 93 years. He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Joyce Ellen (nee Keil) Schnapp; two (2) sons, Gregory (Sheri) Schnapp, Chris Schnapp; and one (1) daughter, Ann Schnapp; and four (4) siblings. He is survived by his five (5) children, Jann (Ben) Jackson of Labadie, Julie (Chuck) Ray of Pacific, Lynn (Andy) Doorack of Labadie, Tim (Michelle) Schnapp of Montgomery City, Carolyn (Tony) Kirk of Cedar Hill and an honorary daughter, Jackie Hatfield of Eureka; thirty-seven (37) grandchildren; forty-five (45) great grandchildren; eight (8) great great grandchildren; three (3) siblings; along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Larry was a loving husband, devoted father, doting grandfather, great grandfather, and great great grandfather, and beloved brother. He loved spending time with his family. He found the perfect farm to raise his family and spent 52 years there. Larry loved his wife, Joyce, and the beautiful life they shared together. He cherished their 65 years together, and greatly missed her. Now they are together again. Larry was a proud Army Veteran, farmer, and painter. He had a passion for gardening. Larry enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved gardening – he was known in Eureka for his prize tomatoes. He enjoyed baking, especially bread and pies. Larry will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from 5:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, Missouri. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 10:00a.m. at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, immediately followed by Graveside Service at CHAPEL HILL MEMORIAL GARDENS.
