Byron Lavell Wilson

Reflections of Byron’s Life Byron Lavell Wilson was born on July 2, 1971, in St. Louis, MO to parents Fred O’Neal and Maudean (Triplett) Wilson (both parents preceded him in death). Byron is the 3rd youngest child of his 8 siblings. Byron graduated from Parkway South High School and continued his studies in college at ITT. Byron made his confession of faith at an early age. He loved the Lord and had a heart for the unsaved; sharing his faith regularly. During his 15-year career as a transit driver at Metro, Byron met the love of his life, Chamille, and they married on July 2, 2022. Byron loved the Marvel Universe and DC Comics and their characters. His nickname was Batman. His favorite football team was the New England Patriots, basketball team, Boston Celtics and he was a huge fan of the artist, Prince. Byron was primary caregiver for his mother, Maudean, and cared for her until her passing on September 9, 2021. One of Byron’s last outings was spent cruising down the river on a boat enjoying his family. He loved his family and friends deeply. Byron went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the age of 53. For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens - 2 Corinthians 5:8. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Chamille Wilson. 4 Daughters; Cheyenne Wilson, Angie Samuel, Jessica Samuel and Alexis Wilson. 4 Sons; Byron Wilson, Jr., Joshua Wilson, Dominique Samuel and Jason Samuel. Grandchildren; LeiLani Pearson, Odell Samuel, Camron Samuel and Jayamairah Samuel. 4 Aunts; Bertha Newton of Rockford, IL, Linda Triplett, Pearl Triplett of McCool, MS and Edna Triplett of Pascagoula, MS. 2 Sisters; Jacqueline (Mario) Maxwell of Crestview, FL and Yvette Wilson of Ft. Worth, TX. 5 Brothers; Charlie Wilson, Willie (Brenda) Wilson, Karl’T (Rachel) Wilson, De’Andre (Cynthia) Fair and Townsend Wilson. Sister Maureen and Brother Avance preceded him in death. Nieces; Sheron, Shanekka, Kaylah, Tamekka, Kanaesha, Fontavia, Melinda and Tanya. Nephews: Eddie (Caroline), Quinton (Yoonjin), Latrell, Jeremy, KJ, TreyShawn, Demetrius and Jerome. Also cherishing his memory: Special cousins; Sandra Hawthorne, Tracy Glover and Corey Mabry of Rockford, IL and LaToshsa Watson. Special friends; Courtland Curry, Jannai Barnett, Kim Quinn and Annie Brown and a host of cousins and friends. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
